About Cielo Marketing

Our Mission:

To seek out and solve exciting problems among exciting companies that will result in business growth for all involved, and contribute, even in a small way, to the health, knowledge or peace of the people around us.

Cielo Marketing was founded by Lisa Kirkman, a 15-year marketing veteran of premier online marketing agencies such as Aviatech in San Diego, and as an in-house marketing leader for healthcare and education companies. She leads a team of experts selected specifically to meet the needs of each client.

Cielo Marketing recently converted a lifeless web site into a new revenue stream for a family of radio stations by re-designing the site with e-coupons to up-sell existing clients, and creating a click tracking system to attract and support national advertisers.

Before founding Cielo, Lisa organized marketing events, PR and promotions for the Harlem Globetrotters, Ice Chalets, and local radio stations.

On the agency side, Lisa gravitated toward technical projects for not-for-profits such as American Legacy Foundation, a $2M account. She led web site builds of more than ten high-end sites for Legacy, MADD, and Make-A-Wish, from concept to art direction to launch. And she generated $4M in co-op matching funds with NGOs and local public health agencies.

As Marketing Manager at The Governance Institute, Lisa launched their first search engine marketing program for a 9000% ROI. She directed a redesign of their materials to unify the look and reduce direct mail costs.

Cielo is an Ad Club member and Lisa served as a Vice President on the board of the San Diego Chapter of the American Marketing Association, organizing and promoting their educational and social events. Lisa is also a member of Vistage, a worldwide forum for executives of emerging companies to enhance their management and leadership skills and increase profitable growth.

Lisa earned her Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in August 2000 and her undergraduate degree is in Broadcast Journalism, with an emphasis in Sociology.
